At The Market

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Market hours will remain 8AM-1PM.  Please join us for an exciting new year with many new and different vendors

Vendors who make handcrafted items sell fresh Ag (certified) produce and on-site (and commercial kitchen) food items are welcome to apply by going to modestocfm.com…. tap on the “Become a Vendor” heading then go to the bottom of the page to get the application.  We have provided other applications you may also need: Fire permit, Business License app, Health permit.  Applications require a $25 non-refundable application fee.  Don’t hesitate to get on our waitlist if space is not available.  We use this list to fill spaces as they open up.

This is berry /cherry /apricot season and it comes and goes quickly.  Blueberries are here for a short time (exception is coastal berries), cherries are almost gone and apricots will only be here for a short time as well.  Now is the time to make that jam/jelly your friends and family will enjoy as gifts.   Lots of other fruit are here for longer periods….peaches, pluots, nectarines, apriums.  Great 4th of July cobbler, parfaits, pie makings and more right here fresh picked daily for you to taste.  Don’t let these pass you by!!

Of course, vegetables are in plentiful supply as well: celery, beets, radishes, chard, kale, lettuces (and mixes), eggs, mushrooms and so much more.

Still lots of fresh baked gourmet foods, coffee, cheeses,  Mediterranean foods, lots of grab’n go lunchables, the best of the best if you have a sweet tooth.

We welcome more new vendors: King Tot’s (tater tots) with freshly made sauces (Thursdays)., and EBL Metal on Woodcrafts (unique one-of-a-kind) Thursdays and Saturdays, Chessie’s  Dreamery with vegan and gluten-free granola, cookies, almond bars, peanut butter power bites and so much more.  Taste them all and find a hard time choosing Thursdays and Saturdays.

Watch our calendar of events for upcoming activities such as Summer crafts (decorate sand pails, water bottles, shopping totes & more) on Saturday 7/14/18,  Vegan demo’s, Safari Saturday (8/4/18) and more…

Those who may be using the “Advantage ” card: We continue to offer the market match program that started in April 2016. That means for every $10 in EBT coins you purchase you can receive an equal number of “matching” $1 coins free! 1 purchase per family per day per transaction. The free coins are for the purchase of fruits and vegetables only. For more information call (209) 390-9098. Our market vendors ( with a few exceptions) will also be able to take Fruit & Vegetable Checks (for those participating in the WIC program). Vendors able to accept these checks will have a sign posted.

We celebrate the best of Chocolate Chip Cookie Day, Mustard Day, Honey Bee Day, Grandparents Day……there is so much more to celebrate we can’t list them all!!

Interested in sponsoring Modesto Certified Farmers’ Market for 2018??  Several levels of sponsorship are available by calling (209) 390-9098.  We, in turn, advertise your business with our widening resources.

We accept WIC, Senior FMNP, and EBT.  Any EBT or Market Match you may have from last year are still useable next year and thereafter.

We will once again sell baskets from Ghana and support a small farming village. These are fair-traded items. This years’ selection is better than ever.
