We have had great success with our new market and event on 10th St. in downtown Modesto and with our partnership with the Downtown Modesto Partnership in creating this event. The hours are 5PM-9PM every Thursday. We are 2 blocks long between “I” and “K” Sts. Yes we will continue to have Thursday morning 8AM-1PM. We apologize for the inconvenience that the new hours have caused. It has been very difficult for a number of years for vendors coming a long distance to arrive in a timely fashion for a 7AM start up. While 1 hour may seem insignificant it is a big help to those individuals. Please feel free to come and shop as they are setting up.
On Saturday July 2, 2016 we have special guest appearance from “Marvel” Super Heroes “Meet and Greet” them and take photos 9AM-12 Noon as the temperature that day permits.
For those who may be using the “Advantage ” card we have great news!! We have a market match program in place that started in April 2016. That means for every $10 in EBT coins you purchase you can receive an equal number of “matching” $1 coins free! 1 purchase per family per day per transaction with a limited number of transactions each day. The free coins are for the purchase of fruits and vegetables only and will go fast. For more information call 209-605-8536. Our market vendors ( with a few exceptions) will also be able to take Fruit & Vegetable Checks (for those participating in the WIC program). Vendors able to accept these checks will have a sign posted.
Cherries are all but gone and the last of the Apricots will soon disappear so get then while you can. Apriums/blackberries/nectarines/peaches plus a few raspberries & blueberries are still here as well but again not for long. Strawberries are in full swing and will be at the market for some time. Lots of vegetables (kale, chard, beets, carrots, lettuces, salad mixes, arugula, onions, zucchini, mushrooms…) nuts, dried fruits, candied nuts, kettle popcorn, plenty of hand crafted items, food galore… We will keep you posted as new seasonal favorites arrive.
