Can you believe that it is about to be December already? Where has the year gone? That also means that Dickens Faire is coming up THIS SATURDAY, December 1st! It is going to be an incredible event, and has expanded so there is more fun for the whole family.
The Modesto Certified Farmers Market has spread its wings and has taken up a whole street of its own for Dickens Faire this year. We wanted to have the opportunity for all of the wonderful vendors you know and love to get in on the holiday fun. You can find us on 16th Street between H street & I. We have also added some NEW activities to the list! We will be hosting Santa and Mrs. Claus from 8am-10pm, so that you and your family can get some great, fun, FREE Christmas pictures before they have to go back to the North Pole. Please remember to have your own camera available, because we cannot provide one. We also added some new kids crafts to the mix. We will be offering children of all ages the opportunity to decorate their own ornament (either plastic or foam) or decorate their own wreath. This goes from 8:30-11am, is also free, and is good for children of all ages (one craft per child please, so we have enough to go around). And finally, we have added carolers to the market, who will be walking around throughout the day.
McHenry Mansion, our wonderful partners for Dickens Faire, will be holding their half of the event on 15th Street, between I street & J. They will have a plethora of assorted holiday, craft, food and artisan vendors, as well as tours of the decked-out McHenry Mansion. If you’ve never toured it, that would be a great time to see the historic beauty.
